Studio Production: VT script feedback and changes and updates

Script Development

After getting really helpful feedback tips from both the Producer and Director of the show, The scripts have been changed a few times and in my opinion, fit the target audience better. There was a little bit of deliberation between how sexual the character can go but I stood my ground as I felt that without the subtle sexual innuendoes such as the vibrator sounds that will come from his little box of props. That being said, I have attached all versions of the scripts via a google drive link.

TRIVIA
As VT Producer, I went through all of Ellie's trivia facts and selected the ones that I felt would bring life to the video as well as allow some element of visual effects. Below is a link to the script

As it came to the end of writing these scripts I was really proud at how they turned out because it took me a while to sift through ideas and try to put things together appropriately. At the back of my mind the whole time was if it would be received in the wrong way, such as the audience not finding it funny but I received good feedback from The producer and Director of the show and they believed it was good enough to send to the actors and hosts. And so this will be the next step. During this stage the VT team had been given some new deadlines to follow.

  • 10th March, Fully filmed
  • 17th March, Edited
It is my role to now work around this and find the best possible way to reach this target. At the moment it is looking very rushed because due to the sudden change in the scripts and the need for it to be re written, this has taken a big chunk out of our initial planning time. Especially with Directors and camera operators having work experience during this time, it poses a threat to our deadline. However, I will try my best to overcome this.

Next steps;

  • Sort out actor for role of Norman
  • Ensure all props are covered on a prop list
  • Work out a schedule with the directors and actors to see when we will be able to film
