My Pre production: Risk assessment/Actor contract/ Location Recee

Location Recee

Messy bedroom
pros: perfect for portraying the characteristics of one of the main characters. Their messy lifestyle will be shown by having strategically placed items dotted all over the room and the bedside table.

Cons: The items on the floor restricts my movement and space. I must be spatially aware at all times to avoid injury or damage to the equipment.

CLEAN/GIRLY BEDROOM
pros: Excellet for portraying my character's organised lifestyle. the room is bright with lots of pink hues in it, further illustrating her "girly" identity. The room is also bright and filled with light.

- The room is also pretty big and because there isn't anything on the floor, there is more room for me to move around in with the equipment.

cons: The bathroom in the bedroom produces a humming noise from the vent fan once the light is on. There will be some scenes taking place in there and it will be hard to hide that unless I dub over it. Luckily my actors are not speaking during these scene, however I still need to have some sort of backing music to cover this or get rid of the sound completely.

- KITCHEN
The kitchen is bright with lots of natural light complementing the white features. It is a clean and spacious room. Further illustrating the cleanliness of the character.

There is also clear access points to the fire exits and there is 2 fire blankets to use, just in case.

This room is sound proofed and outside noises are significantly reduced. Therefore ensuring cleaner/ crisp sound for recording.

Cons: the bright light may be a problem with the cameras as the weather may change and create too much natural light where my subject could end up looking washed out or over exposed.

CHATHAM RIVERSIDE PARK

pros: the park is blooming with natural light, even if it is cloudy in the day time, you will not realise as much. I love the alignment of the trees, they are symmetrical and I believe they are a perfect meeting place for my character who is an organised person. It's as if it illustrates her.

The space is also big enough where it will not obstruct any of the public or cause any harm.
