Full character profiles: Lillian Ivy James

Final Ideas and profiles

After receiving good feedback from my classmates and teachers, I have decided to stick to the idea I pitched. One of the most important things I have to focus on is portraying the contrast between the two characters throughout the screenplay. I have to find subtle yet effective ways of showing the character's personality traits through their dialogue and body language etc.

Final story and notes on the moments of significance

Character profiles

Basic Statistics

Name:Lillian Ivy James "Lillian" because I wanted her first name to be light and elegant, just as she is at first and then I chose "ivy", just like the poison ivy, Lillian will become toxic as that is who she really is inside. James because it is a common name, a name which would not stand out as much in comparison to others, also, since she is of White British decent her name must be simple enough to fit that demographic
Age:19
Nationality:White British
Hometown: Was born in  Blackheath , London - Upper class but not as wealthy to be living somewhere like Knightsbridge and the rest of central London
Current Residence: Rochester, Kent. - Uni accommodation
Occupation: works in a small cafe near the town center
Income: not that much money from her job but it doesn't matter because her mother and father send her money
Talents/Skills: Used to play the piano. Also claims to be good at playing hide and seek, this gives room for me to show scenes of affection as Ray will playfully look for her and they have a loving moment when he finds her.
Siblings:Older sister. (Jane,24) She loved her sister very much, but she resents her now for moving on and living her life without keeping in contact as much. Finds it hard to accept that people can continue life without her.
Significant Others : Her parents, smothered her with love since she was little, she is spoiled and showed early signs of being very spoiled but her parents laughed it off
Relationship skills: She has never been in a relationship before, so as this will be a new experience for her, she will learn things about herself along the way.

Physical Characteristics:

Height: 5 ft 8
Weight:120lbs
Race:white British
Eye Color:Blue
Hair Color:Brown
Shape of Face:Slim, dainty face
Distinguishing features:Subtle cheekbones and piercing eyes
How does he/she dress?: She wears elegant clothing, long flowy dresses, very stylish and well put together
Mannerisms:She has a habit of fixing her hair when it doesn't need to be fixed. When she is nervous she runs her hand over her hair on the side whilst she figures out what to do. Its almost like a nervous tick
Habits: doesn't drink all the time but when she does she gets really drunk, really quick and sometimes says irrational things
Health: She is relatively healthy, no major health issues apart from her manipulative attitude.
Hobbies:Loves pets. She loves the idea of having something to love and cherish when she wants. Loves the fact that they can stick around.

She also likes to draw and make doodles when she is bored.
Speech patterns:
Style (Elegant, shabby etc.): forced elegance
Greatest flaw:she is very passionate about the people she loves, so much so that she will manipulate and do anything in her power to get what she wants.
Best quality: she is attractive and a very smooth talker. Knows how to word her way around everything.

Intellectual/Mental/Personality Attributes and Attitudes

Educational Background: She has always been well educated, her parents sent her to private school and private tutoring for most of her life. She is academically smart but because she has been a bit secluded from the real world she struggles with general
Any Mental Illnesses?: extreme mood swings, possible unconfirmed bipolar disorder

Lillian believes she is a good person, she is deluded as she doesn't realise that she can be controlling and has severe mood swings when something small triggers her off. Ray doesn't realise this until further into the relationship  she has to be desired and wanted by everyone she desires. She believes that everyone perceives her as an innocent young girl who is super friendly, which she is until she doesn't get her own way.

What I want to show is how we may think we're a certain way when in all honesty we could be the complete opposite but its only because we haven't been in certain situations so we never knew how we'd react. Its like learning about a new side to you that you never thought you could have. However, in this case, Lillian doesn't come to terms with her irrational behaviour even after she commits a crime.

Goal: Lillian's goal is to have a perfect relationship with Ray. She wants to be a good girlfriend to him and she wants him to cherish her forever.
Conflict: The conflict is that Lillian has never been in a relationship before, but because she was so used to getting her own way with her parents, that's all she knows. She loves ray so much that she cannot understand why he would have other priorities other than her.
Change:She develops an obsession over him, as time goes by it gets worse and worse. As her perfect idea of a relationship is jeopardised, she harms herself in order to frame or even blackmail Ray.
